Question by Pythagorean: Why did Yahoo delete my witty question “What is the Question?”?
When they don’t delete all the racist crap that gets posted in here? I received a “violation notice” that said “You have posted content to Yahoo! Answers in violation of our Community Guidelines. As a result, your content has been deleted.”
What is the question? is a witty question, IMO. According to Yahoo, “Reason of Violation:Not a Question or Answer.”
What is the question? is not a question? Where’s your imagination Yahoo? Jesus!
OK, Yahoo. Delete my witty question. I understand you need to make sure there’s room for some more racist rants disguised as questions.

LikeDislikeUm, so I think that y answers was designed to be a helpful and fun place for legitimate questions, now come on, after posting that “question” what kind of “answers” or responses did you really expect? Now I do agree with you, there are other posts, that are legitimate questions with hateful agendas that make it up here, but I guess they saw your, and went from there.

LikeDislikeThat question shouldn’t have been deleted. I’ve seen tons of bad stuff on here that never gets deleted, and tons of stuff that doesn’t deserve to be deleted gets deleted. I’ve never had a question deleted, but I’ve only asked five questions so…you know.
Anyways, I really hope Yahoo! Answers gets a bit more sense in their heads, but until then we’re just going to have to wait.

LikeDislikeThat is pretty lame–there is a lot of mean gross stuff on this site, while yours was just silly (or deeply philosophical?) I only report the really bad stuff, like when someone says “you should commit suicide.”

LikeDislikeI understand exactly where you are coming from. I got a notice of a violation the other day. Some asker had posted a garbled question that made no sense. I wrote, “I do not understand your question.” I have done it countless times before and have continued to do it since, but only that one time got reported as being abuse for the same reason your question got deleted….Not a question or an answer. If you go to the Answers Forum, you will find this to be a topic with many responses. YA asks for a response telling them why your answer is not abuse. In a canned response from Katie, all she said was that my comment will be used to help make the site better I couild swear that she didn’t read my message and just told her secretary, “Send her response #5.”
