When YA! forwards you a notice that “Yahoo! Answers: You have a new answer to your question
On the far left of the email there is the violet logo of YA! But sometimes in other notices, there is no logo. Do you know why? Just couldn’t make heads or tails of it.

That is a ‘domain verification’ system they are starting to use. Right now, it is still a bit random, but as time goes by, more and more of the emails are being scanned by that system — and will come through with the purple logo. If you click ON the logo — it will take you to a page that explains this to you.

It is part of the new Yahoo Mail verification system. It is not a YA function. It just means that Yahoo confirms the e-mail is from Yahoo. They aren’t doing it across the board yet.
