Michael Jackson fans:Do you find his song “morphine”disturbing?
Question by : Michael Jackson fans:Do you find his song “morphine”disturbing?
I think morphine is by far his weirdest song,it’s so different from his other songs.I find it disturbing because of the lyrics
“Always to please daddy
Right up and leave daddy
You’re thorwing shame daddy
So undesirable”
“Trust in me
Just in me
Put all your trsut in me
You’re doin’ morphine”
I think he was mocking people who do morphine, but it’s sort of disturbing considering he may have died of drugs.Do you think he could’ve been pouring out his addiction because I watched this interview where he said he only writes songs about stuff he has gone through in his life. Also, did anyone notice that “morphine” is the only song he ever cursed in(he said b*tch)

It wasn’t disturbing until after he died.
That’s the not most disturbing part of the song. The Demerol part is, since he taking it and stuff, and they’re saying that might be what killed him.

LikeDislikeI just find it really sad- I think he was writing about himself and what he’s going through. There is a some line in the song that says ‘You hate your race baby’- it just shows how much it actually gets to him when people say horrible stuff about him (well that’s what I think anyway) – I just find the song really really sad.

LikeDislikeyou know when I first hear “Morphine” from “Blood On The Dance Floor” in 1997 I also thought he was mocking ppl taking it, or he was high writing it. But “Morphine” and “Demerol” was definitely on his mind.
and I think he was mocking himself, Michael so self conscious.

LikeDislikeMorphine has always been one of my favorite songs by Michael, but now after his death, at some times, I can’t listen to it. You’re right. In some ways it is creepy and it gives chills to my spine. I can’t help but cry because you could tell our Michael knew what was coming. I feel pissed at myself and for everybody else because no one took that song seriously. My Michael was crying out for help and nobody listened! Poor thing.
EDIT; this isn’t the first song Michael cusses in. (: just to let ya know.

LikeDislikeI dont know what to think of it yet. And no, it’s not the only song he cursed in. He says Sh*t in This Time Around and he says F*ckin in Scream.
To Tink, it’s on Blood on the Dancefloor.

LikeDislikehe has cursed in a few songs including scream, and also, i also heard the thing about the songs being autobiograohical. But remember, michael said that he also used to write songs about people he knew. Maybe the song was about himself, maybe it wasnt, maybe it was completely fiction, who knows.

it’s still a good song
and i know the lyrics are. . . weird.

LikeDislikeYes, I’m too scared to listen to that song…especially the Demerol part. It’s weird causes it’s about drugs…and he took that drug. It’s really freaky.
Oh, and that’s not the only song he cursed in. He cursed in another song called Scream (used f*cking). I still like Scream though.
