Does anyone have “mutant” hairs on their body? Read inside for details?
Question by Dragon: Does anyone have “mutant” hairs on their body? Read inside for details?
Ok, so I was looking at the inside of my elbow and I saw a single hair strand that was a lot darker and thicker than the other strands of hair on my arm. It was unusally long too. I don’t remember cutting it or anything, but it must have fallen off, because it is now very short and seems to have stopped growing. Then, just the other day, I saw another new “mutant” hair on my other forearm. It was really dark and long and thick and stood out. But now It has totally disappeared.
What the heck is going on? Has anyone else noticed “mutant” hairs on them?

Could have to do with growing up, depending on how old you are. I’m 19 and the hair on my arms is darker now, thankfully not noticeable unless you’re close to them though. So depending on how old you are, it could just be growing up. If you’re already an adult… no clue. If you’re concerned ask your doctor about them, but I would probably just pluck them.

LikeDislikeAs you grow older, the hair on your body changes. It’s just like when people get older they lose hair on their heads and some others grow it in their ears.
If it makes you feel better, i have a mutant hair like that on my face near my jawline. I just pluck it.
There’s nothing wrong with you, its just your body changing
