I got one today. It wasn’t for anything rude or mean either (I’m a very nice person and often spend a lot of time trying to help people on here).
Then yesterday I made a joke that I thought was lighthearted and cute, but didn’t quite answer the question. Apparently, I got reported.
Now I’m sad. 
Naw. I know why I got violated — it’s because I didn’t actually answer the question. Although I didn’t say anything offensive, that still technically counts as a violation.

maybe they hit that button on accident since it’s close to the thumbs down. did they specify what the violation was for? if not, i wouldn’t worry – probably a mistake

I was upset by the first notice but, now, I am just annoyed. Most of them are totally bogus. No rule was violated but some tattle tale troll just took it into his or her head to report me and Yahoo pulled my question or answer on just the troll’s say-so.

LikeDislikeWhile I applaud trying to keep the trolls and abusive jerks to a minimum, I have been violated and had three accounts banned for no good reason. The way they work it encourages people who set up expendable accounts and run wild and discourage any discussion of an issue that the far right or the far left get involved in. They tend to flag anyone who disagrees with their dogma.
