At the very end Vincent (Tom Cruise) says his last words which were “A guy gets on the MTA in LA and dies. Think anybody will notice?” Did anyone know what he meant by that?

Early in the movie, he and Max were talking about LA. Vincent recalled seeing a story in the news about someone dying on a train and how no one noticed that person for awhile.

I haven’t seen the movie in a while but his last words go hand in hand with the story he told the cab driver (Jamie Foxx) at the beginning of the movie – in that story he related how some man died on the MTA and how nobody noticed the “corpse” riding around LA for several hours. Vincent was stating his dislike for LA in this story and now at the end of the movie, somewhat ironically, he will be in that same situation…
